FranU has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Huey and Angelina Wilson Foundation to fund the start-up of a new certification program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This program is aimed at students interested in providing therapeutic support for patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) within community health and education settings. ABA coursework and practical experiences will prepare students for Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) credentialing. The ABA curriculum may be taken as an elective option for FranU students majoring in psychology, providing an exceptional opportunity to enter the workforce immediately after graduation. This gift further substantiates the University's commitment towards responding to healthcare workforce needs of our state and our community, particularly for populations in greatest need.
