Understanding Tuition and Fees

For all programs of study, tuition is charged by credit hour and the tuition rate is determined by course type. Fees are charged per credit hour or semester, depending on the fee. Course-specific fees are charged for certain courses. Tuition and fees are assessed at the time a student registers for courses.

Applying & Attending Fees

Application Fee

There is no application fee associated with the undergraduate application. Applicants to graduate programs are charged a $50 non-refundable application fee.

Laboratory Fee

Laboratory fees are associated with certain courses. The minimum charges are $50 for courses with wet laboratories and $15 for courses with computer laboratories.

Graduation Fee

A graduation fee is assessed in a student's final semester of study in a degree or certificate program. The fee for undergraduates is $125, and the fee for graduate students is $150. The fee covers the cost of the degree audit, diploma, cap, gown and other graduation-related costs.

Deposit

Students admitted to an undergraduate program should complete their reply to offer and submit their $100 deposit. Graduate deposits vary by program. Deposits are non-refundable and go toward student tuition and fees.

 

Additional Fees

This fee is used to help offset costs associated with administrative functions related to support services.

This is used to cover the cost of providing students with up to 10 official transcripts per semester. This fee will also help defray the expenses of cost-bearing administrative services.

This covers testing supplies and equipment, printed materials within the classroom and student personal liability insurance.

This fee is used to maintain the University Library and the services it provides.

This fee is added to a fund available to students who experience financial hardship.

This fee is used to support activities sponsored by the Student Government Association.

This is used to defray the cost of the University’s student information system, web services, internet access and email services, as well as blended, mobile, active and online learning.

Testing fees are used to defray costs associated with specific testing for certain courses.

These fees are used to purchase textbooks and required course materials associated with certain courses.

This fee is used to defray the cost of clinical/simulation technology, equipment, supplies and associated activities for students enrolled in programs with clinical components.

Affording Your Degree - Financial Aid Options

Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University has many financial aid options available to assist students with paying for their college education, including scholarships, loans and more. FranU’s average annual cost after aid is 18% lower than the national median cost for 4-year schools.
