FranU Awarded $260k Educating Character Initiative Institutional Impact Grant for Undergraduate Nursing

FranU recently received a $260,000 grant to support the development and implementation of a Perseverance in Nursing Education Model to further integrate character formation into undergraduate nursing education and early professional practice to help prepare compassionate, resilient healthcare leaders.

Developed to help young nurses avoid early career burnout, the program will help students develop the tools that will aid them in facing the challenges of the modern healthcare environment. Funded by the Educating Character Initiative, a project of the Program for Leadership and Character at Wake Forest University, FranU's three-year award is one of only 44 Institutional Impact Grants awarded across the nation.
