FranU’s Doctor of Nursing Practice-Nurse Anesthesia degree program is nationally recognized for producing highly skilled, compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). With first-time National Certification Examination (NCE) pass rates that consistently exceed the national average and a 100% job placement rate, FranU graduates enter the workforce with confidence and proven results.

From rural hospitals to major academic medical centers, FranU alumni are employed across the country. Many graduates secure future employment contracts even before finishing the program, a testament to the strong reputation of FranU-trained CRNAs.

Students in the DNP-NA program progress through a carefully designed curriculum that moves from foundational sciences into advanced anesthesia management. Clinical training begins in state-of-the-art operating room simulation suites, equipped with high-fidelity technology that mirrors real-life environments. Integrated board preparation, including the Self-Evaluation Exam and APEX learning resources, ensures students are academically ready to excel on the NCE.

FranU students gain extensive experience across a wide range of specialties, including cardiothoracic, pediatric, obstetric, trauma and neurosurgical anesthesia. They learn to use advanced airway devices, modern ultrasound-guided anesthesia techniques and cutting-edge perioperative technologies.

Through partnerships with large academic medical centers and community hospitals, students gain experience in high-acuity cases and build the confidence to practice independently.

Graduates frequently report that FranU prepared them for the full scope of anesthesia practice. Alumni highlight how simulation, rigorous clinical rotations and mentorships gave them a competitive edge in critical thinking, technical skill and adaptability. They leave FranU equipped to be the best in all areas.

The DNP-NA program is led by practicing CRNAs with clinical expertise in all areas of anesthesia practice and serve in leadership roles at the state and national level. Faculty mentorship extends beyond technical training, emphasizing professional development, lifelong learning, advocacy and clinical distinction. Their scholarship and leadership directly enrich the student experience.

FranU’s DNP-NA program equips graduates not only with the knowledge and clinical skills required of a CRNA but also with the leadership and advocacy needed to make a lasting impact in healthcare. With a foundation built on excellence and service, FranU nurse anesthetists are prepared to meet the challenges of today’s complex healthcare environment and succeed.
