Students Fiona Hagan-Anderson and Audrey Ours have been selected to join the Rehumanize Fellowship, a year-long leadership program focused on training college students in human rights advocacy and community-based action.

The Rehumanize Fellowship is offered through Rehumanize International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to emphasizing human dignity and encouraging nonviolent approaches to social change. The program is designed to equip students with practical advocacy skills while preparing them to engage in dialogue and service-oriented work within their own communities.

According to Lauren Pope, executive director of Rehumanize International, this year marks the expansion of the program through new partnerships with leaders in the Washington, D.C. area to provide fellowship opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

The fellowship begins June 21-27 with a week of training in Washington, D.C. While there, Fiona and Audrey will take part in workshops, advocacy training and network with movement leaders and peers.

After the first week, the fellows will continue working throughout the year with an individual mentor to develop and implement a life-affirming project on their campus.

Fiona and Audrey will also serve as leaders of a Rehumanize Allied group, with support from the fellowship program, bringing their experience back into the FranU community through campus-based engagement.

We are proud of Fiona and Audrey for being selected for this fellowship and for taking on a year of formation that will directly shape their work here at FranU,” said Dr. David Bellar, FranU president and CEO. “Through this fellowship, they will bring what they learn back to our campus in a very tangible way. This experience reflects who we are as a University, forming students through service and giving them opportunities to put their learning into action for others.”

We are excited to see the insights Fiona and Audrey will bring back to FranU and to support their work as they carry out their projects on campus. Their leadership reflects the University's mission of educating and forming faith-filled citizens.
