The purpose of the Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University Institutional Review Board (IRB) is to make certain that people who participate in research are treated ethically.
Franciscan University recognizes and accepts the responsibility to protect the rights and welfare of human research participants. The University is guided by the ethical principles published in the report by the National Commission for the Protection of Human Subjects of Biomedical and Behavioral Research (Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects of Research) as well as the 1981 revision of Ethical Principles of Psychologists as adopted by the American Psychological Association.
