Franciscan University's Student Nurses Association (SNA) is an organization for all pre-nursing and nursing students enrolled in the college. SNA promotes professional development, leadership opportunities, and is a great networking tool. Our organization prides itself in reaching out not only to our fellow students, but also helping out within our communities. We hope for every nursing student to join our SNA family and become excited about the events we hold, volunteer outreach services we provide, and benefit from the support system we have with one another. Please visit www.nsna.org to join the National Student Nurses Association and Louisiana Association of Student Nurses. You will then pay dues of $5.00 per year to our local chapter SNA. It is never too late to get involved!
“Joining SNA has taught me so much about life, leadership, and nursing. I truly believe what I’ve gained from SNA will help me everyday in my career.”-- Alyssa Perrin, 2012-2013 SNA president
“SNA has become my second family. Recently my daughter was in the hospital, their many offers to help were extremely comforting to my wife and I.” -- Jeff Green, pre-nursing student and SNA member
Meetings: SNA meetings are determined according to the class and clinical schedules of our members. Please keep an eye out for SNA flyers announcing monthly meetings dates and upcoming activities! If you can't attend the meetings, an email update is sent out to everyone on our contact list later in the week. Also, take a look at our calendar in order to become more active and involved in our organization!
